About the Role

Set up your New Workshop in New Chum

Lead our workshop and depot facilities to meet high safety and quality standards. We are seeking a dynamic Workshop Asset & Facilities Manager to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our workshop and depot facilities. This hands-on role involves managing a small team, coordinating resources, and ensuring maintenance activities meet high-quality standards. Your leadership will support our Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality (HSEQ) and Asset Management Systems (AMS) commitments.

Duties

- Coordinate and deliver hands on maintenance for bus and depot assets.
- Manage resources for optimal bus and asset performance.
- Conduct unscheduled repairs and attend breakdowns.
- Adhere to safety standards and manage stock levels.
- Address concerns and improve bus and depot asset planning.
- Liaise with General Manager on compliance issues.

About You

- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
- Minimum 'MR' class licence and passenger transport authorisation.
- 5+ years' experience in diesel mechanics with Translink QLD fleet vehicles / or similar HV operation.
- Possess a forklift licence or ability to attain one.
- Desirable: Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or related qualifications.
- High commitment to customer service and ethical practice.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a 'Can Do' attitude
