LD18175 - Experienced Field Assistants – 14:14 Roster

Our client, a well-established WA gold producer, is ramping up their field strategy and building a high-performing team that can hit the ground running. They’re seeking experienced Field Assistants who are confident rig-side and can switch seamlessly between sampling, rehab and logistics.

This is a contract FIFO role on a 14/14 roster (ex-Perth), offering excellent work–life balance and hands-on exposure across exploration and mining operations. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment and value safety, teamwork and adaptability, we’d like to hear from you.

Must have:

- HR (preferred) or MR truck licence
- Confident 4x4 operations in remote conditions
- Competent with Microsoft (Excel/Outlook/Teams) and field data entry
- Proven RC sampling experience

Nice to have:

- Diamond core processing experience (orientation, mark-up, cutting, photography) – highly regarded for adaptability and workload changes
- First Aid, Gas Test Atmospheres, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces
- Recent major-miner site inductions

You:

- Safety-first, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in remote environments
- Physically capable, organised, and a strong team communicator

Position Duties:

- Assist with production activities such as ore mark-ups, ore spotting, and collecting in-pit samples;
- Support RC drilling programs: sample collection, splitting/sieving, duplicates/standards, QA/QC, bagging and dispatch
- Operate site vehicles (incl. 4x4) and assist with consumables, water, fuel and laydown logistics
- Carry out clearing and rehabilitation tasks (pad clean-ups, backfilling, fencing/star pickets, erosion control)
- Complete pre-starts, JHAs and maintain accurate Microsoft-based data entry and sampling records

Experience

MIn 12 months experience in a similar role for a gold miner or exploration company.
