McLean Packing Staff Pty Ltd is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in the Darling Downs, specialising in livestock and food production. The business is involved with a broad range of other agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill this role in a full-time capacity, based in Pittsworth, QLD.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on MOBA egg grading machines and related equipment
- Perform tasks such as calibration and adjustments to ensure machines run efficiently
- Identify and implement improvements to optimise equipment performance and reduce downtime
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs to minimise disruptions
- Support safety inspections and help identify and reduce machinery risks
- Keep accurate maintenance records, including parts used and work completed
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement as needed
- Train operators and staff on machine use, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Work closely with the maintenance and production teams on repairs and improvement projects
- Program and configure PLCs and HMIs to control and monitor egg grading systems
- Liaise with equipment suppliers to integrate automated systems smoothly.

About You

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience with PLC programming and complex machinery maintenance
- Skilled in developing preventative maintenance plans
- Strong communicator, with the ability to write reports and liaise with various teams
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Confident using a range of computer programs
- Experience with MOBA machinery
