Sheetmetal Tradesperson – Afternoon Shift

Location: Brisbane, Australia (Northgate)
Position: Full-time, Monday to Friday 2pm to 10.15pm (38 hours per week; shift loading paid)
Salary: $76,600 to $80,000 pending experience
Industry: Sheetmetal Manufacturing

We are a leading sheet metal manufacturing company in Brisbane, and we’re looking for a dedicated Sheetmetal Tradesperson to join our team for the afternoon shift (2:00 PM – 10:15 PM). If you have a passion for sheetmetal and want to be part of a dynamic, growing

Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricating and assembling sheet metal products
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints & specifications
- TIG / MIG Welding (Light gauge experience advantageous)
- Polishing Stainless Steel / working with stainless steel and aluminium
- Cut, bend and shape metal materials using hand tools, power tools and machinery
- Operating a variety of machinery, including CNC machines and press brakes
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines
- Ensuring quality control standards are met
- Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines

Skills & Experience:
- Certificate III or equivalent qualification or 3 years work experience in lieu of qualification. Previous experience in metal fabrication is required of at least one year with a Qualification (Cert III – Engineering – Fabrication)
- Experience in the fabrication of rainwater goods (rainwater heads, sumps) highly advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
