Job Details
Role: Permanent, Full Time — 35 hours per week, 5 days
Salary: $85,411.10 to $93,588.83 + super
Job Description
As the Assistant Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for the efficient delivery of the Council’s general accounts receivable function, including debt collection and providing regular cash flow projections.
You will provide support and assistance to a client group of Directors, Managers, Coordinators, and project leads in relation to invoicing, credit notes, receipting of payments, raising journals, AR reporting and other tasks as reasonably required.
You will also assist in monthly review of revenue transactions for compliance with GST legislation, assist in month end and year end processes by preparing debtor and revenue-related journals. Participate in monthly and/or quarterly meetings with key stakeholders aimed at improving business processes.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- A degree in Accounting or Commerce
- Demonstrated working experience in a high-volume AR environment in a medium to large organisation
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of debt recovery principles and processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to proactively engage and foster business partnering relationships with key internal stakeholders
