Disability Support Worker (DDSO1/1Q) – Berwick

Responsibilities
- Support customers with daily tasks and goals through a person-centred approach.
- Work with a range of customers with complex support needs, including epilepsy, bowel and continence care, complex bowel management, enteral feeding management, and mealtime management support.
- Support customers with conditions such as cerebral palsy, Phelan‑McDermid syndrome, autism, advancing dementia, and low vision, requiring high‑intensity support for medical, mobility and communication challenges.
- Support customers with complex communication needs, ensuring all interactions are respectful, safe, and empowering.
- A driver’s licence is required for this role.
- Shift options include a variety of times and patterns as described below.
Shift details
- Sleepovers: starting between 2:00pm–6:30pm (later on weekends) and finishing between 9:00–11:00am.
- Morning shifts: starting at 6:30am and finishing between 10:00–11:00am, with some extending to 3:00pm.
- Evening shifts: starting between 2:00–3:30pm and finishing between 8:00–9:00pm.
- Weekend day shifts: 12‑hour shifts starting at 7:00, 8:00 or 9:00am.
Qualifications
- NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance and Working with Children’s Check (Employee).
- Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Valid Australian Working Rights and an International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas for more than one year within the last ten years.
