Southern River College is seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic Mathematics teacher, with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful applicant should have high expectations, and display a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. You should have a flexible and adaptive approach and able to apply the strategies of differentiation.
The successful applicant will ideally be a motivated maths teacher passionate about shaping students’ futures. They should possess excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a repertoire of teaching strategies to engage students, ideally having knowledge of and experience in, a range of instructional strategies and tactics. Strong knowledge and skills in the delivery of one or more Senior Secondary courses is desirable. As a reflective practitioner, the successful applicant should possess effective data literacy knowledge and skills; and a capacity to modify their practice to meet identified student needs. The ability to also teach Science is favourable but not essential.
The successful applicant will ideally provide excellence in creating and maintaining a supportive and safe learning environment. They should provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.
