Overview
Direct Support Workers are needed in Townsville and surrounding areas for casual, 24/7 rostered work. CPL workers are now covered by the SCHADS award. We are seeking individuals who enjoy challenging but rewarding work and share our vision of an inclusive society. Training, supportive culture, and connections will be provided to help you make the most of this opportunity.
We are looking for Direct Support Workers who are eager to join on a casual basis and who can fill short shifts available throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Provide support on matters of personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing and more
- Administer medications
- Assist with transferring individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and provide general mobility support
- Perform domestic duties including cleaning, laundry or meal preparation
- Support community engagement, such as attending doctors appointments, grocery shopping or other social or recreational activities of the client/'s choice
We are seeking support workers who have availability for sleepovers and open availability.

- Excellent communicators dedicated to providing the best service for every person
- Good listeners who can work autonomously, as well as under direction and within a team
- Calm and confident in all environments with professional boundaries
- Ability to provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity
- Belief in an inclusive society and value client focus, respect, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and courage

Before you commence
- Open QLD Driver/'s License and access to own vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities)
- Commitment to infection prevention and control measures including the use of PPE as directed
- A smartphone with iOS 13.0+ or Android 6.0+ operating system
