About the Position:
Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Lawyer (10+ PAE) at Partner level to help lead and expand their dispute resolution offering in Brisbane. This role is ideal for a senior practitioner who thrives on high-level strategic litigation, enjoys mentoring emerging junior lawyers, and is motivated by the opportunity to shape and grow a national litigation practice.
You will handle a diverse range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, shareholder and partnership conflicts, corporate insolvency matters, regulatory investigations, and high-stakes litigation involving listed and private entities. Many matters are complex and cross-jurisdictional, offering the chance to work with major clients across a range of industries including financial services, technology, resources, and property development.
You will also play a key role in driving business development initiatives, building a cohesive team, and contributing to the firm's broader strategic direction as it expands across Australia.
Key Requirements:
- 10+ years PAE in Commercial Litigation within private practice
- Proven experience leading complex and high-value commercial disputes
- Strong track record in client relationship management and business development
- Ability to mentor junior lawyers and lead a team effectivelyA portable practice or strong referral network is highly desirable
- Commercial mindset with excellent strategic thinking skills
