Our client is a well-established, award-winning mid-sized law firm made up of 18 experienced lawyers plus a dedicated support team. About the Position

Due to ongoing growth and demand, our client is seeking a Senior Lawyer (Experienced Associate to Special Counsel level) to join their thriving Property & Commercial teams. These newly created positions are designed to add depth between junior lawyers and the firm’s current Directors, helping drive strategy, mentor staff, and maintain high standards across busy files.

You’ll work across a wide variety of high-quality matters, including:

Property Law

- Retail, commercial and agricultural leasing

- Property acquisitions and sales

- Residential and commercial developments (including off-the-plan)

- Caveat disputes, planning & environment, and property advisory

Commercial Law

- Business sales and acquisitions

- Personal and business structuring

- Franchising, mergers and shareholder agreements

- Contracts, commercial negotiations, loan and security documentation

- Lender services and business finance

This is a key role for someone looking to step into a leadership track, with direct access to complex matters, loyal clients, and firm-wide strategic initiatives.

Key Requirements

- 4+ years PAE in property and/or commercial law (private practice experience is needed for this role)

- Strong file management and client-facing experience

- Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members

- Strategic mindset and desire to contribute to firm growth

- High level of professionalism, communication and attention to detail
