ABOUT THE ROLE

Capital Radiology at Eaton is seeking an experienced Part Time Medical Receptionist to be part of our team as the face of our organisation, delivering the highest standards of service to patients, referrers, and the community.

This is a Part-Time role, working 3 days per week: Mon, Tues, Fri. The first 12 - 16 weeks will be training and you will be expected to commit to Full-Time hours during this period.

Reporting to the site Administration Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

- Representing Apex Radiology as the first impression of the practice and greeting patients at the front desk.
- Answering the telephone and responding to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner.
- Booking patients while maximizing appointment slots.
- Informing patients of relevant preparation, costing estimates, and requirement to present relevant concession cards.
- Actioning patient referrals as part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising Receptionists, Booking Centre Agents, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

ABOUT YOU

- Self-leading with a consistent patient-first approach.
- Passion for quality patient care and the healthcare industry.
- Previous medical receptionist experience using patient entry or bookings systems (Medical Imaging, GP or Allied Health is highly desirable).
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients, referrers, and staff by listening, speaking and writing.
- Display compassion and empathy while remaining calm under pressure.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate data entry into RIS systems and EFTPOS/cash handling.
- Proven competency with technology and the ability to use multiple platforms simultaneously.
- Previous leadership or supervisor experience is desirable.
