Are you ready to lead high-impact water and wastewater infrastructure projects across some of the most scenic regions in Southeast Queensland and Northern Rivers NSW? Alder Group is expanding, and we’re seeking experienced Construction Supervisors with a strong background in civil infrastructure, particularly in water and wastewater works.
This role may involve Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) arrangements depending on project location, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.
About the role
- The duties of the supervisor roles will be refined for the various level of supervisor; the general expectations will be:
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety outcomes.
- Coordinate subcontractors and manage site teams including labour and supervision.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain daily records, assist with cost control, and track productivity.
- Liaise professionally with clients and stakeholders to uphold Alder’s reputation.
- Ensure WHS and environmental controls are implemented and monitored.
- Review subcontractor scopes and manage defect rectification.
- Participate in lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.
About You - Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience supervising water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrates strong leadership in managing construction of treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, reservoirs, and associated civil works.
- Can confidently interpret and work from hydraulic, structural, and civil drawings and specifications.
- Has a solid understanding of water industry standards, environmental compliance, and safety protocols.
- Is proactive, quality-driven, and focused on delivering outcomes within budget and timeframes.
- Communicates effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Comfortable using mobile apps and construction software (e.g., Procore) for daily reporting and coordination.
