An exciting opportunity has become available for a focused, adaptable, hands‑on, and solution‑oriented Civil Supervisor to join a major project. With strong backing from local and state governments, you’ll play a key role in delivering a major earthworks package for a community land development and a state‑of‑the‑art recycling facility.
Based on site in Kurnell and reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will ply your trade to oversee site safety, manage on‑site staff and subcontractors, control workflow, and effectively allocate resources to ensure the project meets its timelines, scope, budget, and quality standards. You’ll be trusted with:
- Supervising daily civil works including earthworks, drainage, and structural activities
- Monitoring safety, environment, and compliance; taking prompt corrective action as needed

- Conducting site inspections to identify and resolve quality or design issues
- Managing materials to ensure timely delivery, efficient use, and minimal waste
- Maintaining accurate records of progress, safety checks, and site incidents daily
- Overseeing phased site activities to ensure smooth transitions and milestones achieved
- Providing feedback to engineers on site issues with practical solutions
- Communicating with teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve site challenges
What’s in your toolbox?
- 10+ years’ experience supervising civil construction projects (earthworks, drainage, utilities)
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, safety, and daily site operations
- Sound understanding of QA systems, environmental controls, and compliance reporting
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills with a hands‑on approach
- Proficient in site documentation, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools
- Current White Card and Class C Driver’s Licence
You’re the kind of person who takes pride in getting the job done right and keeping things moving on site. You’ve got a practical way of thinking, you’re steady under pressure, and you back yourself to find a solution when challenges come up. You lead by example, keep your crew safe, and care about delivering quality work that makes a real impact in the community.
