With a strong focus on flexibility, personal growth, and community support, this role provides the perfect platform for someone who thrives in a supportive team setting and is passionate about driving positive change.

What you’ll do

As an Operations Manager with this forward-thinking lender, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of operational excellence. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around optimising business processes to create seamless experiences for both internal teams and external clients. You will take ownership of risk identification while developing practical solutions that safeguard business continuity. By leading cross-functional projects from conception through execution, you will ensure that every initiative aligns with organisational values centred on collaboration, respect, and customer focus. Your ability to analyse complex workflows will enable you to recommend meaningful changes that drive efficiency without compromising quality. In addition to overseeing a small but impactful Quality Assurance Team, you will act as a bridge between departments—ensuring everyone works together towards common objectives. Success in this role means not only delivering measurable improvements but also nurturing an environment where people feel empowered to share ideas, learn from setbacks, and celebrate achievements as one team.

- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes to deliver outstanding customer experiences across all touchpoints.

- Identify potential operational risks within business functions and develop comprehensive strategies to mitigate these risks proactively.

- Design, drive, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that streamline workflows and optimise resource utilisation across multiple teams.

- Develop robust change management plans to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems throughout the organisation.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams by fostering open communication and shared goals to guarantee seamless execution of improvement projects.

- Conduct detailed process mapping, maintenance, and analysis to provide actionable insights that support ongoing operational enhancements.

- Champion innovation in operational systems by identifying opportunities for automation and technology-driven improvements that benefit both staff and customers.

- Manage a dedicated Quality Assurance Team by providing guidance, support, and clear objectives to maintain high standards of service delivery.

- Collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on project goals and effective implementation of strategic initiatives.

- Monitor key performance indicators related to operations and customer satisfaction to inform decision-making and drive continuous progress.

What you bring

To excel as an Operations Manager in this innovative lending environment, you will bring substantial hands‑on experience managing operations within fast‑evolving organisations—ideally those serving SMEs or financial clients. Your approach combines analytical rigour with empathy; you understand how data‑driven decisions can improve outcomes while always considering the human element behind every process. Your interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport quickly across diverse teams while maintaining sensitivity towards different perspectives. You thrive when collaborating on complex projects that require careful planning yet remain adaptable when priorities shift unexpectedly. Familiarity with digital tools such as CRMs or automation platforms enables you to identify opportunities for smarter working practices. Above all else, your commitment to supporting others—whether through mentoring direct reports or championing inclusive policies—sets you apart as someone who helps create workplaces where everyone feels valued.

- Demonstrated experience as an Operations Manager within financial services or related sectors with a proven record of delivering process improvements.

- Exceptional analytical skills combined with the ability to solve problems collaboratively while managing time and resources effectively.

- Hands‑on expertise in project management methodologies as well as change management practices tailored for dynamic environments.

- Outstanding communication abilities that foster trust among colleagues, stakeholders, and customers alike.

- Proven history of building strong relationships across teams to facilitate smooth implementation of change initiatives.

- Comprehensive understanding of CRM platforms, telephony systems, automation tools, and reporting technologies relevant to modern lending operations.

- Experience designing or refining business processes with an emphasis on risk mitigation strategies that protect both company interests and client outcomes.

- Self‑motivation paired with a genuine desire for continuous improvement—always seeking ways to enhance team performance or customer satisfaction.

- Background in fintech or lending environments is highly desirable but not essential; openness to learning new industry trends is crucial.
