PhD opportunities in polymer and materials science at the University of Sydney We are looking for two PhD students to join us on our project on "nanostructured materials for high‑power high‑capacity lithium‑ion batteries" – recently funded by the Office of National Intelligence. The successful candidates will be working under the joint supervision of Chris Ling, Markus Müllner and Wesley Dose in the School of Chemistry at the University of Sydney. Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. More info on the roles - PhD1: Full scholarship ($41,753 p.a.) to develop high surface area polymers/hybrid materials, including their characterisation and testing in batteries. - PhD2: Full scholarship ($41,753 p.a.) to develop new electrolyte compositions and interrogate interfacial phenomena and cycling stability in batteries.
