Next Generation Quantum Graduate Program Scholarship

The Next Generation Quantum Graduates Program scholarships are for outstanding domestic PhD students to undertake collaborative research in quantum science and technology at our partner universities. Students need to complete a 6-month industry placement and a coursework component designed to introduce future graduates to key concepts relevant to their studies.

Students will engage with a national cohort of peers from diverse disciplines, sharing their individual research and contribute to a larger multi-disciplinary solution addressing real-world challenges. This cohort-driven learning approach fosters critical thinking, develops cross-cutting skills, and encourages collaborative solutions.

Undertake research with leading quantum experts and their industry-engaged projects at the following universities:

- University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney)

- Advancing quantum computing – with Diraq | Dr Andre Saraiva

- Quantum amplifiers for spin qubit readout – with Diraq | A/Prof Jarryd Pla, co-supervisor: Dr Tim Botzem
