Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is a leader in providing aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural, and regional locations. In celebration of our 100th year, we remain committed to delivering the finest care at the furthest corners of Queensland. We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Brisbane on a permanent, full‑time basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding the critical information assets and systems of RFDS.

Duties

- Provide cyber security support to clients in accordance with documented processes and timeframes.

- Collaborate with internal departments to improve cyber awareness and reduce organisational risk.

- Conduct ongoing research into threat and security‑related developments.

- Raise support tickets and manage issues to resolution.

- Communicate with diverse client groups, including technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

- Implement, maintain, and monitor cybersecurity technologies and investments to ensure ongoing protection.

- Contribute to the RFDS QLD and RFDS SE business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

- Support after‑hours on‑call service as required.

- Occasional travel within QLD and NSW.

Qualifications

- Certification in Cyber Security or a closely related field.

- Strong knowledge of security protocols, intrusion detection systems, and firewall configurations.

- Demonstrated experience in handling security breaches, forensic analysis, and recovery procedures.

- Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and continuous security monitoring.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policy, Azure, Entra ID, Office 365, Defender, Tenable One Vulnerability Management, Netskope, Firewalls, and Mimecast.

- Sound understanding of the cyber security landscape, security concepts, malware analysis, security architecture, and packet analysis.

- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
