Overview
ALPA is the Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation, Australia’s largest financially independent Indigenous corporation. We employ over 1400 people across 26 remote locations in the NT and QLD, and exist to create economic independence and equal opportunity for First Nations people. This is a travelling role without a fixed home base and is a fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
- Travel across Arnhem Land to support ALPA’s 10 CDP sites as required (e.g., cover vacancies during recruitment, cover roles when employees go on annual leave, and provide extra site support).
- Immerse yourself in local communities and build strong relationships with existing employees and community stakeholders.
- Represent ALPA and contribute to the Community Development Program (CDP) objectives while on site.
What a typical day looks like: travelling to different communities, staying flexible, adventurous and adaptable to meet program needs.
Qualifications
- Experience as an Employment Consultant or Activities Coordinator is preferred.
- An understanding of the current CDP contract is advantageous.
