To learn more about our culture and values, visit our page.## POSTING CLOSE DATE: October 28, 2025## THE OPPORTUNITYBased in our offices in Victoria, British Columbia, and reporting to the Director, Operations, the Analyst will be part of a team dedicated to developing in-house solutions for the Capital Markets & Credit Investments department. The Analyst will primarily assist in providing actionable insights by developing and implementing tools and solutions for a variety of stakeholders within Capital Markets & Credit Investments.## WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHThe Capital Markets & Credit Investments (CM&CI) department manages C$165B of capital markets and credit investments (56% of total net AUM of BCI). The department invests globally across Credit, Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Absolute Return Strategies, with investment teams located in BCI's global offices in Victoria, Vancouver, New York, and London. As a leader in responsible investing, CM&CI actively integrates ESG factors into investment analysis and decision-making processes across all strategies.The Operations Group, a team within Capital Markets & Credit Investments, provides the foundational support for the department’s existing strategies while serving as a strategic partner to investment teams in exploring new value-add strategies for clients. The team serves as the primary interface with internal and external stakeholders in executing CM&CI’s business, having successfully implemented leading technology solutions and automated processes to support the growth of absolute return strategies and private debt programs.## WHAT YOU BRING* Undergraduate degree in business, statistical, mathematical or other related discipline* 1-2 years of experience in Capital Markets and/or Credit Investments, including relevant internships* Professional designation such as CFA/CAIA, is an asset.* Proficiency in Python and SQL, is an asset.* Demonstrated ability with front end visualization tool such as Tableau, is an asset.* Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt messaging according to the audience.* Proactive attitude, interest in investment management, dedication to hard work, commitment to the highest ethical standards, and an eagerness to learn and progress.## WHAT YOU WILL DO* **Develop and enhance tools:** Build Python and SQL solutions for various investment strategies within Capital Markets & Credit Investments* **Ensure accuracy and quality:** Evaluate the model’s quality and accuracy related to investment strategies, identifying and resolving discrepancies* **Support Operations infrastructure:** Troubleshoot issues from various data sources* **Respond to stakeholder needs:** Address ad hoc requests from Capital Markets & Credit Investments teams as well as other departments within BCI* **Contribute to team priorities:** Support additional Operations initiatives and projects as assigned by the Director, Operations## WHERE YOU WILL WORKThis role will be based in our downtown Victoria, BC office## SALARY RANGEThe annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $77,000 - $93,000.BCI offers a competitive total rewards package, including a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan, and paid time off. The base salary will consider factors such as the individual's skill set, experience, and internal equity.
