Warehouse Worker (Leading Hand) – Pinkenba, QLD

Responsibilities

- Provide supervision and support to daily operations involved with the supply of spare parts and materials to end users in compliance with Sandvik Warehousing and Logistics procedures and processes.

- Supervise the afternoon shift (13:54 to 22:00) Monday to Friday on the Pinkenba site.

- Act as a role model for safety and ensure all areas of operation comply with Sandvik’s safety and compliance systems.

- Work with Leading Hands to plan day-to-day running of the warehouse and coordinate stock movements between Sandvik supplier warehouses.

- Monitor and strive to achieve KPI targets and respond to customer needs with urgency and accuracy.

- Develop advanced knowledge of warehouse systems including WMS, payroll, ordering, and Aurora/DI programs.

- Oversee purchasing, receiving and dispatching of parts, orders and enquiries; assist with inventory control as required.

- Support in-house training for team members and assist in producing weekly and monthly data as requested.

- Maintain general warehouse maintenance and housekeeping and ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.

Your profile

- Excellent computer skills, adaptable, safety-focused and reliable; able to communicate clearly and build strong relationships.

- Experience supervising a warehouse and staff (a mix of casual and permanent).

- Minimum of 5 years’ warehouse/storeroom experience in a mining or equipment manufacturing environment.

- Open and current Driver License and High Risk Work License (Forklift) is essential.
