Overview

SAL Consulting is an organisation focused on working with complex individuals, systems and organisations across Australia. Our team provides support and interventions to children and young people; people with a disability; and people who have mental health support needs, their families, and the organisations and government departments that support them. This includes: Clinical Support, Behaviour Support, Clinical Supervision, a range of assessments, Therapy, Health and Allied Health Services, Training and Organisational Practice and Professional Development.

Our team creates strong, collaborative relationships with individuals and organisations through communication and working together as this plays an integral part in SAL Consultings practice and ethos. SAL Consulting is a leader in the field of neurodevelopment, attachment and a trauma-informed (NATI) practice, an accredited provider of Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) through the Child Trauma Academy in the USA, an accredited NDIS Provider, and a Registered Training Organisation. Our work includes serving a diverse population, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.

Our work in Darwin is varied and provides a strong base in working with people with a range of underlying developmental and mental health related issues. Our Darwin team completes a range of assessments with diverse client populations including: Early childhood developmental assessment, FASD assessment, ASD assessment, Psychosocial assessment, Behavioural assessment, Parenting capacity assessment (often inclusive of mental health assessment), Dementia assessment, Forensic assessment. The use of assessments relating to learning difficulties, executive functioning, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. are also utilised as appropriate. Psychological intervention, therapy and behaviour support services are provided using a diverse range of modalities inclusive of individual, family based and service system interventions.
