Great Southern Bank is enhancing its Small Medium Enterprise (SME) business bank offering through an exciting opportunity to become a key player in a unique digital first industry proposition. This opportunity will help us drive a complete digital first SME offering to its current and proposed small business customers, aligned to our purpose and values.
As the Oversight and Assurance Manager – Payments and Banking Operations, based in our Brisbane office, you will be responsible for day-to-day oversight and assurance activities completed by our Strategic Partners, across end-to-end operational activities.
You’ll make an impact by:
- BAU oversight of compliance (impact on products and customers) and analysis of risks in end-to-end operational activities at Great Southern Bank for SME Bank
- Oversight and Assurance of Financial Assistance (Hardship) and Collections activities performed by our strategic partner.
- Oversight and Assurance of complaints, customer interactions, lending applications, issues and incident management and all other day-to-day operational activities performed by our strategic partners
- Provide analysis and support for operational initiatives and activities across projects or channels
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 10+ years experience in banking operations
- Previous Financial Assistance (Hardship) and Collections experience/understanding of debt collection guidelines would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of relevant Finance industry standards, acts, codes and legislation
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with third parties and internal stakeholders across the enterprise
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills, highly developed ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts
- Experience in Risk Assurance (1st or 2nd line) or Operational Quality Assurance role
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, autonomously and independently
- Advanced level skills in the Microsoft suite of products
