Overview

Purpose of the Life Skills and Community Programs Coordinator role

The Life Skills and Community Programs Coordinator is responsible for developing community and lifestyle programs aimed at developing life skills, hobbies and engagement with communities, and tailoring a program to help people with disability live the life they want. This is achieved by observing the facilitation of programs, reviewing their effectiveness in line with intended outcomes and individual goals, and making necessary recommendations and modifications, as well as developing new programs to maximise client participation and success.

Role Responsibilities

- Develop and evaluate current and future My Life programs in consultation with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders across all business units, including senior management, to ensure program requirements are met.
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of day programs and ensure key stakeholders and customers are engaged throughout the process.
- Establish effective evaluation processes and support managers in any improvements required.
- Lead and initiate continuous improvement activities of the program based on evaluation results.
- Report on and evaluate the progress of programs in relation to work plans and broad organisational goals.
- Ensure that all service delivery standards are met within the established time frames for each program.

To be successful in this role, you will need

- Understanding of the Disability sector and NDIS practice framework.
- Proven ability to work within an outcomes framework, delivering successfully.
- Experience in programming and content creation, with a strong understanding of how to tailor content for a diverse range of clients.
- High level of coordination and management skills across numerous concurrent projects or programs.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively convey complex ideas to various audiences.
- Demonstrated knowledge of active support.
- A creative mindset.
