Urgent JV and Corporate Accountant

We are working with our global oil and gas client recruiting for a JV/ Corporate Accountant to join them on an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

- Corporate Accounting/General activities

- Operated Joint Venture accounting

- Non-Operated Joint Venture accounting

- Accounting support to provide data necessary to fulfil Company Tax Obligations

- Support statutory, JV and other audits

- Provide assistance and support to Corporate and JV team, including AP

- Proactive involvement in improving business processes

- Budgeting/ cash calls/ Expenditure statements

- Produce the monthly timetable

- Liaise with Treasury, AP, Corporate and JV teams to ensure month end reporting deadlines are achieved

- Monthly accruals and other journals, as required

- Reconciliation of JV and other Balance Sheet accounts

- Completion of Business Activity Statements

Skills and Experience

- Degree in Commerce/Business, CA or CPA qualified or nearing completion

- At least 3-5 years experience in a joint venture accounting or related role within the resources industry

- Good knowledge of MS Excel. Sound knowledge of SAP accounting systems

- Good analytical skills, good communication skills, team player possessing initiative and is self-motivated
