Supervising Fisheries and Marine Officer

Salary: FMO Level 5, $131,173 - $143,360 pa, (pro rata) Public Sector CSA Agreement 2024

About the opportunity

Are you interested in working in Broome or Karratha undertaking investigations, inspections and enforcing the fisheries legislation to the locals and tourists? This is your opportunity to see the many spectacular locations in Northern Regions of WA in your spare time. Having the opportunity to work at sea and on land is a great balance for work.

There are currently two permanent, full-time positions available for immediate filling. You will supervise up to a team of 5 while leading the delivery of fisheries compliance activities, surveillance, education and community awareness programs and day to day operations of the district.

We are looking for individuals with:

- Certificate qualifications in compliance and investigations and/or possession of relevant experience.
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of relevant compliance legislation, compliance governance frameworks, and operational procedures.
