What you will do

Volvo Group has been in Australia since 1972 and has a strong track record of helping our customers succeed in their respective industries. Volvo Group Australia manages the manufacturing, distribution, and operation of well-known brands such as Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta, Volvo Construction Equipment, and Volvo Financial Services. This role will work for Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV), the primary commercial vehicle distribution and servicing centre for Volvo Trucks and Buses, Mack Trucks, and UD Trucks.

At VCV Blacktown, our Service Advisors are key to the success of our dealerships, and we pride ourselves on our quick and high-quality customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Scheduling service appointments and organizing service work schedules
- Handling customer service queries via phone, email, or in person
- Ensuring customers sign repair orders to authorize repairs
- Confirming Volvo Technicians have completed repair order information to standard
- Completing customer, warranty, and internal invoicing
- Raising purchase orders and liaising with subcontractors
- Liaising with customers regarding job status updates, variances to quotes, and credit limits
- Ensuring vehicles are returned in acceptable condition and repairs are explained.

Your future team

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and Workshop Manager, you will work in a team of 5 Service Advisors. The larger VCV Blacktown workshop team of approximately 70 includes Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, and a Costing Clerk. The team prides itself on running a quality and efficient operation in a supportive environment.

Who are you?

At Volvo Group, we value your behaviors and characteristics as much as your technical skills. Ideally, you will have:

- Experience in a similar service-focused role, or related experience in the truck industry such as administration, invoicing, warranty, or technical backgrounds
- Truck industry experience is advantageous
- A passion for providing excellent customer service
- A solid understanding of data entry systems, Word, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to think on your feet
- An HR license or willingness to obtain one
