Metal Fabricator

THE OPPORTUNITY

Continued business growth has created an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Metal Fabricator to join the operations team to help manufacture and assemble products for our trade and retail customer base.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity working Day Shift from 6:00am - 2:06pm with overtime optional.

Location: Forrestdale, WA

Annual Salary: $76,570 - $80,000 per annum based on relevant skills and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manufacture goods to the customers’ requirements

- Tasks include interpret technical product drawings, MIG fabricating using mild steel and silicone bronze.

- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Operate plant and mobile equipment, including overhead cranes.

- Collaborate with team members, other departments and projects

- Participate in training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment

- Maintain a clean and organised work area

- Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU

- Essential - Fabricating experience of mild steel, galvanized products in both light and heavy gauges

- Essential - At least 2 years relevant experience working in a production environment

- Essential - AQF Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication)

- Commitment to producing quality products

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Strong mechanical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Sound awareness of safety standards and alertness of moving parts and people

- Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
