Overview

We're seeking hands-on and mechanically minded Factory Hands & Machine Operators to join one of our well-established metal manufacturing clients located in Thomastown. You'll be working in a specialised environment handling and processing heavy metals, including lead, in both solid and molten states.

Pay Rate: $35.15 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Duties

- Operating hydraulic extrusion presses and heavy machinery
- Hand casting and pouring molten metal
- Operating melting pots, rolling mills, and lead sheet production machines
- Loading/unloading de-reeling and slitting equipment
- Assisting with robot palletising, paint application, sealing, and packaging machines
- Shot blasting and use of waterjet cutters
- General housekeeping and rotating tasks as needed

What we're looking for

- Experience in metal fabrication, casting, galvanising, moulding, or similar industries is advantagous
- Physically fit and comfortable working in hot and sometimes heavy-duty environments
- Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn new machinery and processes
- Comfortable rotating between varied factory tasks
