Role Overview

UMENCO is currently recruiting a PR Coordinator to join a contemporary womenswear brand.

In this role, the PR Coordinator will support global PR activations and contribute to a fast-paced, brand-focused environment. As a key member of the Marketing Department, the successful talent will assist in the coordination of PR, marketing, communications and digital initiatives.

Success in this role requires a passion for people, strong relationship-building capabilities and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The PR Coordinator will play an integral part in managing press relationships, maintaining the showroom, coordinating seasonal samples and media loans and supporting external agency partners. The successful talent will also contribute to local PR strategy, driving community engagement, brand awareness and overall desirability within the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Alongside PR responsibilities, you will oversee internal and external brand communications, to ensure consistent and authentic messaging. This includes writing product descriptions, press releases and media responses, as well as supporting broader copywriting needs such as pitching, email drafting and partner outreach. The PR Coordinator will also manage internal media and influencer tracking tools, oversee gifting programs, handle all social media inbox communication and assist with events, ranging from in-store activations to press days and partner collaborations.

To thrive in this position, the PR Coordinator will bring excellent writing and editing skills, a personable and collaborative approach and a strong understanding of social media and digital trends. An eye for detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities and ideally one year of experience in a similar role within fashion or a related industry is essential.
