Community Plus is a program of Mercy Mental Health (MMH) that provides direct clinical and partnership services. Direct clinical services involve assertive outreach engagement within extended hours to support increased access for adults (16-64 years old) with severe mental illness and complex needs. Community Plus is informed by a therapeutic inter-professional service model. Each client works with a primary case manager, but has an access to additional support as required from other clinicians, including medical staff, clinical psychologists, family therapist and peer workers. The partnership services include specialist consultation (direct and secondary), liaison and inputs aimed at augmenting the care provided by other MMH teams as required.**As a Senior Psychologist you are expected to:*** The Clinical Psychologist’s role contributes to the multidisciplinary management/treatment of clients in the community through providing specialized discipline specific input, as direct and secondary consultation, in the form of comprehensive psychological assessments, report writing, and individual and group intervention.* The Clinical Psychologist, in consultation with the Multidisciplinary team, provides psychoeducation and practical strategies to the families and other external stakeholders involved in the care of the clients, as required.* The Clinical Psychologist works in collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders in client care related matters, including discharge planning and increasing independence. The Clinical Psychologist works closely with the MMH Senior Clinical Psychologist in activities related to developing and improving the quality of service.* This role supervisors Grade 2 Psychologists as required and leads the process of improving psychological input in multidisciplinary management of clients.**Desirable:*** Further study in the relevant specialist areas.**What you’ll bring**You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.
