Overview

Mechanic Wanted – see the Job in Action. We’re looking for a mechanic to keep the City of Adelaide’s fleet running smoothly in a fully equipped and climate-controlled workshop. This is a full-time or part-time, permanent opportunity with a 9-day fortnight, starting at $80,516 + super. Overtime is available. Tools and laundered uniforms are provided.

Responsibilities

- Maintain and repair a variety of plant and fleet including utes, trucks, backhoes, mowers, street sweepers, electric vehicles, motorbikes, and more.
- Ensure the fleet is kept in good working order and that daily operations run smoothly in a climate-controlled workshop.

About You / Qualifications

- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to liaise and engage with others.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively in a safety- and wellbeing-focused team.
- Ability to learn new skills and willingness to share ideas and embrace change.
- Experience working on a variety of Plant from Construction, Parks and Gardens and Cleansing Services would be beneficial.
