Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Learning Experience Designer to join a large and complex organisation in the higher education sector on a contract basis. This role focuses on designing and delivering engaging learning and enablement programs that lift staff capability, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall employee and customer experience.

Responsibilities

- Design and deliver engaging online and face-to-face training to uplift staff capability across critical systems and processes.
- Use your Canvas LMS expertise to create interactive courses, assessments, and resources.
- Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to understand needs, identify gaps, and develop tailored curricula.
- Develop tools, resources and “train the trainer” programs to embed capability long-term.
- Evaluate learning outcomes and adjust approaches based on data and feedback.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen internal service culture and customer outcomes.

About You

- To succeed, you’ll bring: Proven experience in learning design, customer experience, or service design within large and complex organisations.
- Hands-on expertise with Canvas LMS (or ability to quickly adapt if you’ve worked with similar platforms).
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience creating training that blends technical knowledge with a focus on service and customer outcomes.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Desirable

Exposure to higher education, government, or large-scale service organisations.

- Competitive daily rate: $950 + super.
- Hybrid working model (2–3 days onsite in Sydney, balance remote).
