Our client, The Trustee for Sharma Family Trust t/a Kebabiya, is a renowned culinary destination with locations in Bella Vista. Known for its rich and diverse sub-continental flavours, Kebabiya specializes in kebabs that trace their roots to northern, eastern, and south-eastern India as well as Pakistan. Each dish is crafted using distinct marinades inspired by ingredients traditionally used along the historical journey of the kebab. With a focus on authenticity and locally sourced produce, Kebabiya offers a unique dining experience that captures the evolving essence of the kebab across cultures.

Minimum Requirements:
Be qualified in hospitality with AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) with at least 3 years full-time experience as a Chef

Key Responsibilities:
Overall management of kitchen production to achieve consistency and deliver exceptional products and service
Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Prepare and cook a variety of kebabs and other dishes according to Kebabiya’s recipes and standards.
Ensure the use of locally sourced ingredients in all preparations.
Maintain the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new and innovative recipes. • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
Manage kitchen inventory and liaise with suppliers for fresh ingredients. • Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Assisting in the efficient running of kitchen operations
Delivering outstanding food in taste and presentation
Ensure all kitchen staff understood expectations and parameters of kitchen goals and daily kitchen work
Ensure meals are produced on time, and sufficient quantities are available, as well as ensuring appealing plate presentation
Maintain updated knowledge of local competition and restaurant industry trends Skills

Skills and Personal Attributes:
A demonstrated track record in creating innovative menus at the highest level
Strong knowledge of different marinades and traditional cooking techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. exceptional shift management capabilities
Sound knowledge of kitchen management including menu planning and costing
Good working knowledge of WHS standards
Highly organized with the ability to supervise and support the team in kitchen operations
