About the Role:

Join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Ward Clerk where you will play an essential role in supporting patient care across our busy hospital wards.

As a Ward Clerk, you will be the organisational backbone of our clinical teams, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient experiences. In this role, you will support healthcare professionals in delivering quality care to our diverse community.

In this role, you will work over a 7-day roster, covering shifts from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, in an annual leave relief capacity.

Key Responsibilities

- manage patient admissions, discharges and transfers

- coordinate appointments and maintain accurate patient records

- provide administrative support to nursing and medical staff

- handle telephone enquiries and communicate with patients and families

- process orders for medical supplies and equipment

About You

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and proficiency in computer applications. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.
