Overview

We're working with a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Deeside, currently looking to recruit a Production Supervisor to join their team.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of assembly and dispatch operatives to ensure the efficient and high-quality production of goods. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of both departments, ensuring health and safety compliance, hitting production targets, and continuously improving productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Supervise the assembly department in accordance with the production schedule issued by Production Control
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the despatch team to meet production and delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of production output, attendance, incidents, and equipment issues
- Coordinate with the production control team regarding the assembly order needs and notify any issues or worries that could threaten the production timeline
- Ensuring finished product matches expected quality standard
- Coordinate requirements with other departments, keep the operations manager informed about workflow, and make sure KPIs are maintained
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, ensuring products meet company and customer specifications
- Monitor performance, provide training and support to team members, and conduct regular performance reviews
- Induct new employees and provide on the job training
- Interact with team members to resolve problems, suggest improvement methods of working, and provide feedback in performance

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principle
- Experience with ERP systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication
