About the Cook role

- Role - Permanent Full-Time
- Hours - 38 hrs per week
- Days - Monday to Friday
- Time - 6.30 am – 2.30 pm
- Pays - $26.42 – $29.95 + Superannuation

What You’ll Do

- Create and deliver nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks aligned with national dietary guidelines.
- Cater for dietary requirements including allergies, intolerances, and cultural needs.
- Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies and reducing food waste.
- Collaborate with educators to support learning themes and special events through food.
- Encourage healthy habits through engaging food experiences for children and families.

What You’ll Bring

- Previous experience as a chef, ideally in early childhood, schools, or aged care settings.
- Cert III in relevant studies would be desirable
- Strong understanding of child nutrition and meal planning.
- Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.
- A warm, team-oriented approach and passion for children’s wellbeing.
