**About the Role**

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Assistant Project Office to contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage throughout NSW.

The role is based in Parramatta in the Land Information Team, within the Conservation and Aboriginal Partnership Branch, responsible for acquisition and creation of national parks throughout NSW and ongoing maintenance of records relating to land. A flexible working arrangement is available, including working remotely from home and onsite in Parramatta, as agreed with your manager.

As an Assistant Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of high level administrative and project support for Native Title projects, including research, analysis, reporting, implementation and related administrative tasks to support the development and delivery of projects. You will support the team to facilitate conservation programs and Native Title projects through land title and tenure based tasks.

**About You**

You’ll be able to demonstrate your ability to meet deadlines and undertake and/or support multiple projects in a high-volume work environment. You will have good research and project coordination skills and ideally have previous experience in a similar role. Your communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and stakeholders will be an advantage to you in this role.

**Essential requirements**
- Experience in the provision of administrative and support services.
- Experience in development and delivery of programs and projects.
- Understanding of contemporary project management principles and practices.
