Your new employer is an OEM and market leader in the hire, repair, and service of their range of Underground Coal Loaders, Longwall Relocation Equipment, Auxiliary Fans, and Personnel Transporters. Starting out as a small contracting hire business, these guys have grown into a full-service provider to the underground mining industry nationwide.

**YOUR NEW JOB**
With over $ 7 million worth of inventory, the primary purpose of your new role is analysing data for forecast accuracy, operational efficiencies, network optimisation, and inventory to deliver the BEST customer outcomes.

You will work closely with the supply chain and workshop teams to provide the link between interpreting data to drive commercial results whilst also linking with business managers to implement standard processes and priorities along with engaging with business leaders to understand detailed inventory coverage deficiencies workshops, whilst developing review strategies to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

This is real work with real outcomes and will give you great exposure to a diverse range of systems and processes spanning a complex Australian manufacturing business. In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you will be given the support and opportunity to build key interpersonal skills such as stakeholder engagement, influencing and leadership.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Analyse sales data and forecast future demand
- Analyse data to identify opportunities across supply chain operations to improve efficiency
- Partner across multiple functions to understand the upcoming business drivers as critical inputs into the supply and demand planning process
- Collaborate with data owners within Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement to gather work centre, product, planning, and material information
- Collaborate with production and workshop teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status and performance
- Establishing practice policies and methods for analysing and using data to maximise organisational output within logistics.
- Owning KPI dashboards to provide visibility of supply chain and logistics functions and trends.

**ABOUT YOU**
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management or related field in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred
- Logical thinker with well-developed analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- A good understanding of supply planning processes and systems
- A strong understanding of effective inventory control/management systems and processes
- Thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment you must have a passion and understanding of analytics with systems experience in PowerBI, Excel and SQL
