**About the Role**:
The Quality Consultant Vocational Education and Training (VET) works within the Academic Quality Directorate as a key member of a small team, providing high level advice and support to the Institute in relation to continuous improvement across Foundation and VET courses.

This role will be required to work across multi-Directorates, assisting the Manager Academic Quality & Compliance to provide a whole of Institute view as to how academic quality and compliance matters are managed, in relation to VET and Foundation. The role will be required to identify and respond to quality improvement opportunities in learning and teaching, developing systemic solutions to implement improvements in practice in academic teams. The role will also work closely with the Curriculum Unit, Professional Teaching Practice Unit, Organisational Development, Academic Registry and other support teams across the Institute to drive academic quality and ensure compliance.

**Duties**:

- Support quality and compliance processes to meet regulatory compliance, both onshore and offshore, for the delivery of VET and Foundation programs and timeframes.
- Support the governance requirements linked to the development of continuous improvement practices and processes for academic quality to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained within the Academic Operations workforce.
- Liaise with stakeholders across the Institute to provide high level advice and build organisational capabilities to enable staff to meet regulatory standards and requirements.
- Support the development of an annual internal review cycle, and support independent reviews around quality and compliance, validating information from Academic Operations and other quality function teams, acting as an escalation point to mitigate identified issues.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- A current Working With Children Check Card (Employee).
- A Degree in relevant field, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent and proven experience in quality within VET context including, audits, risk identification and management, and external compliance requirements, AQF, AQTF, ASQA, VRQA, ESOS and HESG.
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance with proven expertise and current working knowledge of **Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) **and the **Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015** requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects in education settings with diverse stakeholders, including ability to support groups of staff to solve problems and implement change.
