**About our role**:
An opportunity is available for a Head of Grants to join our Advocacy, Education and Research team in Sydney, for a permanent, part-time (4-days per week) role.

**The key responsibilities include**:

- Overall management of Avant’s grant programs, which currently include the Avant Foundation and Avant Grants.
- Oversee investments and financial performance of the Foundation and collaborate with relevant parties to ensure maximum value of available funds and the implementation of distribution policies.
- Management of potential or perceived conflict/s to ensure compliance with all aspects of the Foundation and Grant program management is critical.
- Expertise in developing and managing grant making programs.
- Experience managing a Private Ancillary Fund based philanthropic program.
- Previous Management and governance relating to an endowment fund investment.
- Understanding of health and medical research sector.
- Proven track record in successfully achieving financial targets.
