**Role Description**
As a scheduler and project controls officer you will be supporting several projects underway within a Maritime Electronic Warfare program. These projects are delivering a critical EW capability to our war fighters in their mission to defend Australia and its national interests. You will bring your scheduling and project controls expertise to the fore to help establish and maintain a suite of program and project schedules while supporting the team with reporting to ensure key milestones are achieved.
Key activities include:
1. Work alongside Commonwealth project team members, supporting the progress of projects through the One Defence Capability System, including development of key documents supporting project clearance through Defence capability gate reviews.
2. Develop and maintain program and project master schedules, including schedule baselines, progress tracking and Work Breakdown Structures.
3. Perform variance analysis and reporting, including forecasting and input into the development of corrective actions where required.
4. Provide program and project monitoring and controlling advice to the Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare (MMEW) program.
5. Input into briefs, reports and documentation using a range of tools and techniques.
6. Coordinate risk management activities with MMEW Project Managers.
7. Undertake the following project control activities: budgeting, change management, forecasting, earned value, project administration.
8. Provide operational support to project management and facilitate administrative and coordination requirements.
**Key Requirements**
Essential
- Diverse program and project scheduling experience
- A background in project controls
- Pre-employment checks
- Australian citizen
- Have excellent interpersonal skills.
- A minimum of NV1 security clearance or ability to gain an NV2 security clearance.
Desirable
- Defence and CASG experience in EW and the Maritime domain
- Be a clear communicator both written and verbally.
- Be a team player with a can-do attitude.
