We are currently looking for a Project Scheduler / Controls Officer to join our business.
The opportunity is based in Canberra
Every day will see you providing project planning, coordinating and scheduling services to ensure specific outcomes are achieved. You’ll be a natural organiser and thrive in a fast paced environment.
As a Project Scheduler / Controls Officer, your responsibilities will include:
Working alongside Commonwealth project team members, supporting the progress of projects through the One Defence Capability System, including development of key documents supporting project clearance through Defence capability gate reviews.
Developing and maintaining program and project master schedules, including schedule baselines, progress tracking and Work Breakdown Structures.
Performing variance analysis and reporting, including forecasting and input into the development of corrective actions where required.
Providing program and project monitoring and controlling advice to the Project team.
Providing input into briefs, reports and documentation using a range of tools and techniques.
Coordinating risk management activities.
Undertaking the following project control activities as required: budgeting, change management, forecasting, earned value, project administration
Providing operational support to project management and facilitate administrative and coordination requirements
To be successful in the role of Project Scheduler / Controls Officer you will need to bring with you:
Diverse program and project scheduling experience and hands-on experience with Open Plan Professional (OPP)
A background in project controls
Experience in CASG processes
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good teamwork skills and the ability to work as part of a fast-moving project team in a dynamic and changing work environment.
The confidence to be a self-starter.
Applicants must hold an Australian Government Vetting Agency (AGSVA) NV1 security clearance.
