Quality Management Officer has a hourly rate between $33-$35 PH dependent on experience.

12-month contract, December 2023 - December 2024

**Your Role**:
Maintain and improve a quality management system which achieves continuous improvement in the quality of service delivery and level of program compliance, in collaboration with the Quality and Compliance Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Process feedback, complaints and incident reports including but not limited to home safety assessments, hazard notifications and service feedback; within timeframes set in policy and process documents.
- Maintaining registers and completing checklists for complaints and incidents.
- Manage COVID cases in relation to staff and service users in accordance with the COVID Safe Plan, to mitigate the risk of spreading infection.
- Reporting “reportable incidents” and SIRS incidents to the NDIS Commission and Aged Care Commission, respectively, in accordance with stipulated timeframes.
- Dealing with the NDIS Commission and Aged Care Commission in an effective and timely manner, in relation to any complaints about Simply Helping, to ensure they are resolved satisfactorily.
- Organise, chair and minute, fortnightly Quality Management meetings, driving completion of action points within the allocated timeframes, including items on the Continuous Improvement Register, and champion continuous improvement within the company.
- Make recommendations on the updating of policies and processes based on best practice and issues identified in the Quality Management Plan.
- Work with the HR Manager (in consultation with the Quality & Compliance Officer) to identify and act on opportunities to train staff and increase the knowledge and skills levels of support workers and office staff.
- Occasional project work and assistance in related areas, as determined by the Quality and Compliance Manager and HR and Communications Manager.
- Commit to sustaining a culture of quality management and continuous improvement, including staff training and personal development.

- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality care.
- Strong ethical standards and personal integrity.

**Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge**
- A thorough understanding of Programs (NDIS/HCP/TAC) compliance, in relation to complaints and incidents.
- Knowledge and understanding of the following and how their principles are put into effect in relation to supports: UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities.
