**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Reporting to the Practice Manager and Principals, the Paralegal role is responsible for performing a variety of duties to assist the Solicitors and Principals with legal administration in accordance with Stanton and Stanton’s established policies and procedures. The Paralegal will observe confidentiality of client matters, whilst performing the administrative paralegal duties outlined in this position description.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist the Solicitors and Principals with the basic file management of client files
- Assist with drafting of correspondence, forms, filings and other documents as requested by and under the supervision of a Solicitors or Principals
- Liaise with external providers in relation to client matters
- Perform routine and general office and administration duties in accordance with policies and procedures
- Undertake legal research at the instruction of, and under the supervision of the Solicitors and Principals

**Selection criteria**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a related field or working towards
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and practices
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not necessary.
- Proficient in legal terminology and legal/factual research
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and clients
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of computer literacy including the use of the MS Office suite
- Strong organisation skills and attention to details
- A desire to grow within the role
