**About You**
Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and managing the Health and Safety Advisors, to drive a safety culture across the business.
- Advising and collaborating with business leaders on the implementation of safe work systems, identification of hazards and the resolution of safety risks.
- Guiding complex health and safety (H&S) incident investigations and delivering comprehensive training.
- Managing HBF's corporate H&S training module, ensuring a well-prepared workforce.
- Overseeing HBF's safety management systems, reporting on incidents and ensuring legislative compliance.
- Preparing concise monthly and quarterly reports for Executive and Risk Committees, keeping H&S management status visible.
- Stay updating on regulations, recommending H&S system adjustments as needed.
- Supporting leaders with injury management, including return-to-work programs, and collaborating with stakeholders and/or liaising with insurer and vendors as required.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and maintaining continuous improvement with the H&S space.

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- 5+ years’ health & safety experience, specifically in the provision of specialised support and advice.
- Previous experience leading a HSW team preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in injury management, along with a working knowledge of the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act.
- High level of interpersonal skills including oral and written communication, with the ability to establish working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and networks.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (full MS Office suite required).
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in identifying and delivering high value H&S process improvements.
- Demonstrated high level of organisational skills, including a high level of attention to detail.
- Open to learn new skills and experience and ability to continually improve work processes.
- Work well in a team environment and can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work.
- Ability to provide detailed guidance and advice to People Leaders and identify risks to the business and escalate appropriately.
- Ability to conduct and manage effective H&S incident investigations.
