The Allied Health Assistant works with a range of Allied Health disciplines, facilitating patient care by providing clinical and administrative support under the Supervision of a qualified Allied Health Practitioner within group based rehabilitation programs and individual home based interventions.

**About You**
- You hold a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant/relevant qualification (or a willingness to undertake this training), and have a current unencumbered NSW driver's licence.
- You have previous experience working in a health environment, with a range of patient cohorts across inpatient, outpatient and/or community settings.
- You possess effective written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy, and have the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- You are able to proritise your workload, meet deadlines and complete activities as delegated.

**Where You'll Be Working**

The Allied Health Assistant - Community Allied Health, is an essential role within the Community Allied Health and HiTH-RACE multidisciplinary teams, providing direct clinical care under the delegation of the Allied Health professionals. Hospital in the Home Rapid Access to Care and Evaluation (HiTH-RACE) is a dynamic service to assist the early pathway from hospital to home for patients aged 70 and over, or 50 and over in the Aboriginal cohort. Patients experience hospital level care from physios, occupational therapists, and social workers with medical support as needed.
