**About the unit**:
We have implemented the Elective Surgery Reform Unit in order to work in collaboration with key stakeholders within the organisation, and across the North East Metro Health Services Partnership, in order to transform and improve elective services within eight key workstreams:

- ESIS Models of Care
- Non-ESIS Models of Care
- Patient Communication
- Digital Transformation
- Surgical Preparedness and Recovery
- ESWL Diversion
- Non-Surgical Models of Care improvements
- Surgical Consumer Advisory group development

**About the role**:
As the Elective Surgery Transformational Lead, you will provide high level of clinical and operational expertise and project support to the Elective Surgery Reform Unit, ensuring that projects and initiatives within workstreams are delivered in a timely, safe and effective manner, in accordance with change management principles and governance reporting requirements.

**Key responsibilities will see you**:

- Support Austin Health to build an improvement program reform work aiming to improve access to quality elective surgery and endoscopy services
- Establish and manage project governance, including establishment of processes and structures
- Lead and support clear and consistent project communication, including presenting data analysis, project reports and outcomes of improvement initiatives
- Engage and build relationships with key project stakeholders including organisation stakeholders and colleagues, Partner representatives, the Department of Health and other health sector stakeholders

**About you**:
The Elective Surgery Transformation Lead will be a highly driven and innovative individual. A great collaborator, fast learner, adaptable, an excellent communicator and have a strategic approach to problem solving and planning.

**Ideally, you’ll have**:

- Project management experience and planning and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure and achieve goals within established timeframes
- Excellent writing skills, including policies and reports
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with a range of individuals and stakeholder groups
- A strong understanding and knowledge of operational, clinical and administrative workflows related to elective surgery and endoscopy services (ESIS and Non-ESIS)
