**The Role**

Commencing Term 1 2024, this is a new, permanent, full-time opportunity to be an integral part in shaping the future of music for PLC students from Years 7-12 (including IB).

Our Music School boasts a proud, time-honoured reputation as being amongst the very best in the country. Our classroom music program is the foundation for all students to develop their passion for music through core classroom music programs.

Over 700 students participate in instrumental tuition and a variety of ensembles, bands, and orchestras. Our music programs are truly vibrant, diverse and innovative - offering students the opportunity to fully explore, excel and extend themselves in their musical education.

This role will appeal to music educators from both local and abroad, who have a successful music teaching history and who also demonstrate strong, progressive leadership skills.

Working closely with the Director of Music, and as a member of the Senior Music Executive, the Head of Music Curriculum and Learning will be at the forefront of our music education, leading and inspiring both students and staff.

**About You**

You will be an experienced, exemplary music educator with demonstrated success teaching IB Music within the Diploma Program, as well as classroom music in Years 7-10. You will also have an ongoing commitment to developing and extending your pedagogical knowledge and practice.

A current or aspiring leader, you will embrace the opportunity to work in close partnership with our Director of Music across areas of strategic planning, curriculum development and delivery, and the management of staff.

Your honesty, credibility and trust as a leader will be pertinent to your success in this role, as well as your ability to mentor, inspire and challenge students and staff to reach their full potential.
