**National Blood Authority**:
The National Blood Authority is an Australian government statutory agency whose role is to work alongside all Australian government and blood sector stakeholders to ensure Australia’s blood supply is safe, secure, adequate, and affordable.

**The Opportunity**:
Joining the Research and Product Review Section will give you the security of a **6-month labour-hire contract**. This team is responsible for the administration of the National Blood Sector Research and Development Program and horizon scanning of national and international blood sector trends. This team identifies and supports quality research and review activities that influence priorities within the blood sector.

**The Role**:

- Develop, plan, and lead projects and activities in accordance with the NBA and government policies
- Prepare and deliver quality papers, briefs, presentations, and correspondence
- Build effective relationships and negotiate outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage high volumes of work on a pre-determined schedule such as a fortnightly internal bulletin and quarterly external reports
- Synthesise and analyse technical and complex information in relation to the blood sector and share with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and monitor emerging issues in the blood sector, using strategic thinking skills to identify the impact of these on the NBA’s operational priorities and note any trends or patterns

**The Ideal Person**:
You will have a **background in health policy and/or project management** with expertise in **research, information management, and publishing.**
- Health or Science background will be highly regarded but not essential
- Strong research, analysis, and writing skills are required
- Ability to analyse and synthesise complex information and translate this into easily digestible content for internal and external stakeholders

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen and have a Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain.

**Salary / Rate**:

- $75/hr - $90/hr + 10.5% super
- 6-month labour-hire contract with the possibility of extension
- Location: Canberra
