**A little bit about us**

Strategy, Economic Policy and Evaluation Branch is the central policy hub within the department. We provide evidence‑based advice to ministers and senior executives in high priority and/or complex areas across the department’s responsibilities.

Project priorities are identified by senior executive and change regularly, but recent projects have focused on decarbonising the transport and infrastructure sectors, climate change resilience, infrastructure policy and skills shortages. We are a multi-disciplinary team that takes a structured and collaborative approach to solving complex problems.

We have multiple vacancies at the APS6 and EL1 levels. This opportunity would suit any applicant with strong problem solving and communication skills. As a multi-disciplinary team we welcome a wide range of skillsets including but not limited to public policy, economics, law, statistics, data analysis and any field with strong research skills.

**What will you do?**

You will contribute to developing policy advice to Government in short-medium term projects. This role is varied and dynamic, but typical duties include:
- Research and analysis on priority issues-
- Development of persuasive communications materials-
- Project planning-
- Stakeholder engagement, including delivery of workshops with internal and external stakeholders-
